In short:
Beauty Stuff is developed and maintained by a private individual. Questions about data, deletion requests and anything else go to basilkot@gmail.com.
Everything the app holds stays in the phone memory and is never sent anywhere:
The records live in the app database, the photos in its own directory. Neither is available to other apps. The home screen widget reads the same database and never leaves the device. Uninstalling Beauty Stuff erases all of it along with the app.
The app uses two services from Google LLC. Both receive data automatically; nothing is required from you.
When the app crashes or trips over an error, a technical report is sent:
The contents of your collection, the photos and the product names never end up in a report.
Anonymous information on how the app is used is collected: launches and session length, the screens opened, and a handful of events — a product added, a product archived, a backup saved or restored, reminders switched on. Product names, brand names and photos never end up in the statistics.
The app does not collect the device advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across other apps and websites. That is why the system tracking prompt is never shown.
How Google handles the data it receives is described in the Google Privacy Policy and in the Firebase terms.
On “Save a backup” the app builds a single file with the products, the lists, the shopping list and the photos, and hands it to the system share dialog. Where the file goes — to Files, to iCloud Drive, to an email to yourself — is your choice. The app never sends the backup anywhere by itself and has no access to your other files.
If iCloud Backup is enabled on the device, or you back the device up to a computer, the operating system saves the app data along with the product photos on its own. This is done by iOS, not by the app: Beauty Stuff has no access to the contents of that backup. It can be turned off in the device settings, under “iCloud → iCloud Backup”.
The year summary and the collage become a picture only when you tap “Share”, and that picture goes to the same system dialog the backup uses: where it lands — a messenger, a note, the photo library — is your choice. The app sends it nowhere by itself.
The collage can show the products with the background removed. That is done on the device by the system framework, without a network and without sending the photos anywhere, and the original photos are not modified: the cut-out lives only while the screen is open.
The app never asks for access to your photo library: a photo is picked in a system dialog that hands over the selected image and nothing else. Beauty Stuff has no access to any other photo on the device.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
If the set of collected data changes, this text will be updated along with the app, and the date at the top of the document will change with it. By continuing to use the app after an update you accept the new version.
